Extra Fields Hello, I have added two extra fields for a category in Edit Categories but they do not show up when I go to upload photos. I looked at the code in the upload template and is has the code for the extra fields. Any Suggestions |
When asking for support the following is needed usually. Your post is very vague and gives us nothing to work with other than if I try this it works. 1. full description of the issue in as much detail as possible 2. link to your photopost install 3. test regular user login so we can see photos etc upload. |
Ok. I have set up three categories in PP. One for Photos, one for Videos, and one for music. I need to use three of the "Extra Fileds" in each for information on upload. Extra1 for "City, Extra2 for "County" Extra3 for "State" I went into my PP Admin area under "Edit Categories" and selected "Edit" in the Photo category. I added these fields and saved changes. I repeated this for the video and music categories. When I went to upload photos there was no extra fields for city county or state here is a link to the admin area. http://s175371257.onlinehome.us/pp/adm-index.php chucks chucks |

why don't I see a field to enter the city and state? |
It is certainly there process an upload and you will see. it is on the second stage of upload where the thumbnail is shown |
Chuck, is there any way to make the extra fields required? |
Not within the code currently as it is |
Why doesn't it show up on the first page like it does in the ppc when I added extras? Will it allow me to enter the extras if I am using the bulk upload? |
hos to intregate phpbb2 forum with photo post Hello I tried to start a new post but was not able to. Im trying to get the section of phpbb2 "forums" to show under my recent photos section in pp pro. Would someone post the how to if possible.:o |
Fingertips You can not compare photopost and classifieds two separate products. boyakaa Please do not post on someone else's thread with a question that has nothing to do with the thread. You need to post in the mod forums if your trying to ask a mod question for something that falls outside product support. I suggest you visit the announcement at the top of every forum called how to become verified if you wish to be able to post. |
Thank you Chuck. I had not gone throught the whole upload. When I did not see it on the first page like in ppc I figured it was not working correctly. Thank you for your patience |
Now that I know they are there and working is there any way to apply these extras to pics in albums I uploaded before I added the extras? Otherwise the only alternative is to reupload which I would like to avoaid if possible. I am assuming these extras show up during a bulk upload process as well. |
How do I get to the second page to use the extras if I am using bulk upload? Maybe you can answer this also. How can I get the smilies to shown up on the page under comments instead of just seeing the test BB Code Legend and Smiles Legend |
If the category you select to upload to has extra fields and you use bulkupload yes they will show up just remember not to check bypass approval process dont know what you mean by your smilie thing please post links etc |
Here is a link to look at the comments field. I ma referring to the text on the left "BB Cade Legend" and Smilies Legend. I was hoping the actual smilies would appear here for the user to select from. http://s175371257.onlinehome.us/pp/s....php?photo=692 |
those are just help files and are appearing as they should |
With regard to the extra fields in the bulkupload I do see them, but do I have to fill in each one individually or is there some way to fill it in once for all. Also with regard to the smilies, does that mean they cannot appear on the page for users to choose from or they have to click on the smilies legend link to see them. |
You fill each one out individually. I am saying that smilies do not show there. We dont have a WYSIWYG EDITOR |
Is there anyway when bul uploading to fill these extra fields out once? Where can I find the WYSIWYG EDITOR? |
