Allow image downloads for some usergroups

This is probably (hopefully) really simple but I cannot find the answer.

I have setup my IPS to use anti-leeching mode i.e. "Use Right-Click Disable JavaScript to try and prevent right-clicking images", enabled on-the-fly image protection (watermark.php) and moved my large photos above my public web root in order to prevent casual passers-by (unregsistered / not logged in) usergroups from downloading photos.

Now how can I give the right-click functionality back to registered users who are logged in and/or how can authorized usergroups be given permission to download images?

TIA!

In showphoto.tmpl maybe by adding this

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.

Hi Chuck,

Thanks for your help. Your recommendation to only enable the "right-click disable" javascript for Usergroup 0 makes perfect sense and seems like an obvious solution, but for some reason it does not work.

Is the "Unregistered / Not Logged In" Usergroup by default group 0 (zero)?

I tried altering the showphoto.tmpl as you said but it doesn't work.

Any other ideas? Anyone?

No the suggestion above only does the right click protection if a user is not logged in as userid would be there userid and only unregistered is equal to 0

Thanks for the clarification on how it should work, however when I sign in (as an Admin or Regular user) right-click is still disabled. It isn't recognizing a signed-in user to disable it.

Your not editing the correct template then remember if you have vb3 and the integration turned on you need to edit the showphoto template in the vb3enhanced subdirectory

That was it. I didn't realize the templates were replicated in the vBenhanced folder.

I also had to add it to the showfull.tmpl since I am using the pop-up option.

Thanks for being so helpful. Remind me to buy you lunch next time I'm up in your area.
