Trouble uploading photos

My site is built in Frontpage and hosted on a Windows server. Recent problems with my host corrupted files and they had to re-install Frontpage extensions. I am not sure if these problems triggered problems with my Photopost install as I had not uploaded any photos lately but now when I try to use either a single photo upload or a bulk upload I get error messages that appear to be permissions related. I had the software installed by Photopost and am not php literate so I would appreciate your review of the following messages. Please advise if anything needs to be reinstalled or if there is a simple change I need to make. Thank you

Error message when trying to upload a single photo:
Warning: move_uploaded_file(C:/Accounts/fdralumn/wwwRoot/gallery/uploads/1/001.jpg): failed to open stream: Permission denied in C:\Accounts\fdralumn\wwwRoot\gallery\image-inc.php on line 37

Warning: move_uploaded_file(): Unable to move 'C:\PHP\uploadtemp\phpA658.tmp' to 'C:/Accounts/fdralumn/wwwRoot/gallery/uploads/1/001.jpg' in C:\Accounts\fdralumn\wwwRoot\gallery\image-inc.php on line 37

Error message when tryping to upload using Bulk Upload:
Warning: copy(C:/Accounts/fdralumn/wwwRoot/gallery/data/500/001.jpg): failed to open stream: Permission denied in C:\Accounts\fdralumn\wwwRoot\gallery\bulkupload.php on line 169

Warning: fread(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in C:\Accounts\fdralumn\wwwRoot\gallery\image-inc.php on line 621

Thanks for your feedback.

Just looks like you need your host to reset permission on your uploads and data folders under your gallery directory to READ WRITE EXECUTE

I relayed your message to my service provider. They came back and said they had reset the permissions but I get the same error messages. This is the third time my service provider has hosed my PhotoPost installation so I will be leaving them soon but I will likely need to contract with you to get this working again. If you are interested please contact me regarding next steps. Thank you.

Given that error I seriously doubt they have done as they said they did. Since your host is the only one who has backend access to that part of the server to change permissions there is not much you or anyone else can do. I am not a big fan of windows servers or permissions so I hear ya when you say you will be moving

When you say 'reset permissions' under Windows (XP Pro here), do you mean the file/folder attributes or something else? I am having no luck change file/folder attributes - and I'm the administrator of the server computer! I would try chmod except that I have no idea of the format (--help is good if you are a *nix person - which I'm not).

Thanks,

Robert
