Majour problems with photopost

Have just installed photopost pro.
Issue

1#
And when I try uploading a .jpg picture I get this error:

the picture does NOT get uploaded

I try upload another .jpg picture I get this error:

the picture gets uploaded, but no thumbnails, it says no thumbnail in red color like a picture

Hello

I suggest you check your data path you have entered in global options to be sure it is accurate and also that you check your data and uploads directories and ensure they are set to 777 permissions at every level deep meaning the medium and thumbs directories as well

Dear Chuck

Im pretty sure the path is correct, the 777 permission I do know for sure.
But could you tell me what I type when im logged in on telnet to get the exact path when im inside the photopost directory, I just dont remember the command.
