how do I allow upload only to galleries owned by the user

This may be floating around somewhere, but didnt find it when I searched.

I would like to allow my pp users to, when they pick the gallery to upload to, only be allowed to (and only even see) the galleries that belong to them in the albumsel dropdown box.
When I go to upload pics, I can upload them to anyone's gallery. Is that because I'm the admin?

yes as admin you can upload to any category

You can set in admin => edit categories which cats a user can view or upload to when editing a category.

Yep, you see them because you are admin.
Allow albums is a usergroup permission, so usergroups who you have set to No won't have the upload to albums option.

yes, I meant personal albums, not the main categories

and, mjm, what you say is helpful "Yep, you see them because you are admin."
but this part, "so usergroups who you have set to No won't have the upload to albums option", does that mean, even if they have it set to "Yes", they have the option to upload to their albums, but they ONLY see those albums that belong to them?

Correct, they will only see their own albums in the albums upload dropdown, though they will need to create the album first before it is shown there.

personal albums take the same permissions as members gallery and only albums the user created is shown to them not anyone else
