Unhappy Can't Create New Album!! Help

I have made a few albums in the past but now I keep getting this error...

Unable to create/write to /home/mysite/public_html/gallery/data/527! Check your data directory permissions before continuing.

I try again...

Unable to create/write to /home/mysite/public_html/gallery/data/528! Check your data directory permissions before continuing.

And again...

Unable to create/write to /home/mysite/public_html/gallery/data/529! Check your data directory permissions before continuing.

Again...

Unable to create/write to /home/mysite/public_html/gallery/data/530! Check your data directory permissions before continuing.

You get the point...

Unable to create/write to /home/mysite/public_html/gallery/data/531! Check your data directory permissions before continuing.

I triple checked all of the dirrectory perrmissions. Every time I try it, the folder number keeps going up but it never creates the folder in the data directory.

I am running PhotoPost Pro 5.31 and vb3.6.0.

More INFO on problem

It appears to make an album on the front end, but definitly did not create a directory for it. I tried to upload an image to the albums as a test and I recieved these errors.

/home/mysite/public_html/gallery/uploads/204: Error creating directory (check permissions).

Please notify the System Administrator.

Warning: fopen(/home/mysite/public_html/gallery/uploads/204/index.htm): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/mysite/public_html/gallery/pp-inc.php on line 2787

Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/mysite/public_html/gallery/pp-inc.php on line 2788

This would just appear your directory permissions are not set to 777 at every level on uploads and data as per the install instructions.

Chuck,

This is not a new install nor have i changed any permissions. It's been running just fine until today when I tried to create a new album.

Members can upload images to their gallery with no problems. It is just albums and I am the only one that can create albums.

The only thing we did is upgrade PHP and MY SQL a month ago and Upgraded to VB 3.6 the other day. This is the first time I have tried to create an album since all of the upgrades mentioned above.

I'll check the chmod permission again, but I think it is something else.

Actually, I just tested it with a regualr account and no one can upload images. We havent made any changes to the permissions, this is why im confused. All directory permission are set just as describe in the manual. I'd be happy to PM you an ftp login so you can see for yourself

Obviously permissions are not 777 on those directories and or your host has turned on safe mode. View your php info in admin and check.

Ok, the issue has been fixed. The directories were in fact chmoded correctly as we haven't touched them since the install 2 years ago. It was a host issue.

Thanks,
