Thumbnails next two cat titles, how do I...

I have the thumbnails turned on for category titles so that it shows the latest thumbnail for that category. The problem is that the only two "categories" I have is one for unregistered users and the one that is the "Members Galleries" category. The category link works fine when you click on the text for the member galleries, but when you click on the thumbnail instead of taking you to the main members gallery index that shows all the user galleries, it takes you to the users gallery that contains that last uploaded image.

This is version 5.2. Can I please receive information on how I can go about fixing this problem?
