| VB/Photopost Login Problem
Hi,
I know that there're a million threads in this forum regarding my problem
But unfortunatly none of them solved mine
Cookies settings in my both VB/PP: vBulletin 3.5.4
forum_setting cookiepath: /
config.php cookieprefix: forum
forum_setting cookiedomain: .barca4ever.com Photopost 5.3.1
pp_settings cookie_path: /
pp_settings cookieprefix: forum
pp_settings domain_path: .barca4ever.com
I can login in my VB forum without any problem
The problem is in my Photopost:
I can't login via index.php while I can login via adm-index.php
But even when I logged in via adm-index.php, my forum's header login box still showing as I'm not logged in while I'm logged in
Take a look at the following link which will show you what do I mean by my last point (Logged in via adm-index.php) http://www.m500m.com/up/uploads/33e09cb216.jpg |

Have you verified you are inputting your correct vbulletin license number?
How about posting a test user login and url to the forum and photopost

Your issue is easy as your cookies are not set correctly. I show your forum set as this
cookie path /forum/
cookie prefix forum
cookie domain blank
Therefore the cookie will only work over the forum. You must set your cookies in both products exactly as your posted in your first post.

You should never have to login to adm-index.php if cookies are set correctly as your login will be integrated.
If you are absolutely correct your cookie settings are the same check to ensure you have placed in the photopost config-inc.php file the $vblicense line has the correct vb license number placed in there. This is needed for login as well

This would indicate either your vb license number or cookie prefix is incorrect as I posted above.

When i had this problem i had to delete the cookie from my pc (not just logout) and get a new one before any fix would work.

I have the exact same problem with PhotoPost and vBulletin.
I ran the Import script and it worked fine. I can see all of the users in vb_users table.
First when I log in to PhotoPost It takes me back to the index page, but I'm still not logged in.
But when I go to vBulletin I'm logged in.
Here is my settings.
PhotoPost settings
Cookie path = /
Cookie prefix = bb
Domain path = .jaktbilder.se
vB3 settings
Cookie path = /
Cookie prefix = bb
Domain path .jaktbilder.se
I have the right VB3 License Number config-inc.php.
And when a user register in Photoshop, does that account work in the forum as well? Or must he register again in the forum. I want one user database for PhotoShop and vBulletin.
Any ideas?

well if you switched integrations did you do everything else your suppose to do? http://www.jaktbilder.se/
Your photopost is an internal install not installed with vbulletin
Try deleting your usergroups table in photopost and run the photopost install script if your running 5.5 and select external integration and integrate with vb3

Did as you said. Worked like a charm. One thing, Photoposts Cookie domain is empty, but in vb3 its .jaktbilder.se, seems to work anyway. Can I leave it empty?

Sorry to be a pain, but i have excatly the same problem.
I cannot log into admin in pp. I can be logged in to vb (3.6.2) and can enter pp (5.5) index fine. However, when i go to log into the pp admin it asks me for my username and password, then redirects me back to the pp index, logged out again of everything.
i have checked the following settings
vBulletin 3.6.2
forum_setting cookiepath: /
config.php cookieprefix: bb
forum_setting cookiedomain: .itsalifestyle.co.uk
Photopost 5.5
pp_settings cookie_path: /
pp_settings cookieprefix: bb
pp_settings domain_path: .itsalifestyle.co.uk
and my vb license number is fine in config-inc. I have also deleted all cookies on my machine
any further ideas would be great
matt

i can login fine with test members and there dont seem to be a problem moving between vb and pp. its only when i try to go to the admin in pp.
saying that i am starting to believe that it must be something to do with my machine as i deleted all cookies (again), and rebooted my computer. When i restarted i could log into admin fine, but as soon as i came out of admin, all the problems started again and could no go back in....very strange.
anyway, im going to try another computer later and will see if the problem exists there, if not then its my machine.
i thank you for your reply, as i realise that you must be pretty bored with this problem lol

I could suggest you check your config file to ensure your vblicense number is correct and not customer number
