Level Categories Bug

Hi,

I have the following Level Categories:

1 [Contains Thumbnails: No; Parent: None]
1.1 [Contains Thumbnails: Yes; Parent: 1]
1.2 [Contains Thumbnails: Yes; Parent: 1]

1.3 [Contains Thumbnails: No; Parent: 1]
1.3.1 [Contains Thumbnails: Yes; Parent: 1.3]
1.3.2 [Contains Thumbnails: Yes; Parent: 1.3]
1.3.3 [Contains Thumbnails: Yes; Parent: 1.3]
1.3.4 [Contains Thumbnails: Yes; Parent: 1.3]

1.4 [Contains Thumbnails: No; Parent: 1]
1.4.1 [Contains Thumbnails: Yes; Parent: 1.4]
1.4.2 [Contains Thumbnails: Yes; Parent: 1.4]
1.4.3 [Contains Thumbnails: Yes; Parent: 1.4]

2 [Contains Thumbnails: Yes; Parent: None]
3 [Contains Thumbnails: Yes; Parent: None]
4 [Contains Thumbnails: Yes; Parent: None]
5 [Contains Thumbnails: Yes; Parent: None]
6 [Contains Thumbnails: Yes; Parent: None]

The problem I'm facing is that categories 2,3,4 are showing under 1.4

Note that
[Depth of categories to display: 2]
[Number of top level categories to show on index page: 0]

Please help

How about a url so I can fully see what your trying to illustrate.

I do not understand what your mean they are under 1.4. You would set the order in which the categories are displayed in Admin => Edit Categories

The following link will have a picture of photopost index

http://www.m500m.com/up/uploads/9486f33332.jpg

you can notice that the most bottom category is a child, while it shouldn't be a child of any other category as the following link will show you that its Parent set to NONE:

Also the following link will show you "Edit Categories" screen:

That is displaying correctly. I would suggest if you want 2 3 4 5 etc to display level with the others you create a parent cat for them.

Strange thing, I changed the categories' names to English via phpmyadmin BUT still my gallery is showing the categries in Arabic!

Find attached a query for all my current categories, please check why categories (La Liga, Calcio, Priemer League, Worldwide, Designs) are under (Old Players)?

I posted a test user for my gallery and URL in the following post:
http://www.photopost.com/forum/showp...39&postcount=3

Thanks in advance

Is there's a way to force expiry?

I answered your question two posts ago my friend. I told you they are not under the old players category and appear fine. if they where they would be indented under old players like the subcategories are for old players. Look at your category index again and you will see I am indeed correct.

Your cache will refresh when you set it to. You can turn this off if you like in Global options

Please use the login information mentioned in the following post:
http://www.photopost.com/forum/showp...39&postcount=3

And after login to my gallery, click on (Old Players) category, you'll see that (La Liga, Calcio, Priemer League, Worldwide, Designs) will be collapsed! They shouldn't be collapsed if they're not children for (Old Player) category!

I hope that I explained my idea

I dont read arabic but this is the picture you posted here

http://www.m500m.com/up/uploads/9486f33332.jpg

The categories you meantion are definately not under the category noted in red. You circles the category beginning with the one not having a parent and it clearly shows that they not indented like the subcategories of the one cat.

Your login on the site does not work since your cookies are still messed up but if they appear as your picture your category index is fine and is displaying as it should.

Chuck S, first let me thank you for your great support I can see you in every single thread in this huge forum, I'll call you Mr. Octopus

Now all categories are in english

I have no problem with the indentation, the problem is when I click on the category (Old Players)

The following picture is Before Clicking on (Old Players) Category

http://www.m500m.com/up/uploads/3a6bedf439.jpg

The following picture is After Clicking on (Old Players) Category

http://www.m500m.com/up/uploads/48e8c44a0d.jpg

You can see that (La Liga, Calcio, Priemer League, Worldwide, Designs) categories are collapsed when they shouldn't!

If you still see that my point is not clear, please refer to the attachment in post#5 and install those categories in test server, then click on (Old Players) categories to see the effect.

Thanks in advance Mr. Octopus

well they are not within the old players category your picture shows that

http://www.m500m.com/up/uploads/3a6bedf439.jpg

There may be a issue with the collapse thing though. Try this test. Do a test by creating a parent cat same names miscellaneous categories and place the cats in question under that one and go to your index and try the collpase
