Thumbnail greyed out

I am in the process of setting up my website, photopost integrated with vb3.
when i upload a photo to my gallery, the thumbnail shows a 50% greyed out image. id you click on the following link you will see what i mean. i am kind of new to this kind of software so please excuse my stupidity if its something i have overlooked in the settings.

ok when looking at the thumbnail, the image is undefined but when clicking on the thumbnail it opens up as the image should with all the colours.

in the the thumbnail it looks colourless.

what do you mean by the processor, gd1,gd2 imagemagick ? i have gd1 selected .

You need to check your phpinfo in admin and find out if you have gd2 or gd1 installed. I would think your issue is your selecting gd1 when you have gd2. Try selecting in Admin => Global Options set your processor to gd2 and try an upload.
