changing max file size
If I change the maximum image dimensions (from 600x600px to 500x500px) will it affect the images that have already been uploaded in anyway!?

Hello No this will not affect old pictures. Only if you change the medium and thumbnail settings and use the rebuild thumb or rebuild medium in scan database will pictures be changed. The settings are for all newly uploaded pictures
