Is there a way to show the next/previous links without showing the thum nail images??
I am sure I have seen it done at other sites but can't for the life of me figure out how!?

You can turn off the next prev thumbnails and the next prev links still show in the breadcrumb trail to the right

I disabled the thumbnail previews in Admin CP --> Show Photo Options and selecting "No" for "Enable next and previous photo previews?".

Ok I must be missing something here...
I don't even seem to get the next/ previous bread crumb trail (this is exactly what I was talking about just didn't know the correct term!) regardless of whether I have the preview images on or off....
Have I missed another setting somewhere?

In your showphoto.tmpl do you have this code?
Code:

Yes the previous photo previews and the next prev link are two separate things.
You should always have a next prev link in the top right corner of the showphoto page like Freesteyelz points out here is an example
http://www.photopost.com/photopost/s...php/photo/5557
See the next and prev image text links on either side of slideshow?

Ok I don't have the text links for previous/slideshow/next at all.
I do have that line in the tpl file.
If it helps the gallery is here
