User info fields not showing up properly...

Notice the member area on the left side of the comments. I thought this was supposed to match our forum layout???

It shows "Location:" and "Joined:" and we do not have this verbage in our forum member profile area. The user title is below the avatar and it's supposed to be above the avatar.

How can I get this working properly and/or change it?

It is not suppose to match your vbulletin exactly. We use vbulletin post icons all the WYSIWYG STUFF etc but our comments use our profiledata function and pull certain core vb info.

Therefore it is working and displays properly

You may edit your showphoto.php file down the bottom where the comments arrays are defined and change anything you like. Easier yet you may edit your showphoto template and delete the variable for something you dont want to show

I'm not sure why you wouldn't design it to align like vb. That make no sense, and to me it's definitely not working and displaying properly. It's out of proportion and not aligned like I want it.

I cannot modify templates... I've set every permssion in the templates directory to 666, but it still says I don't have permission.

Can you simply tell me where (in easy to understand language) where I can make the member area wider... it is too narrow and causes the information to wrap... it looks terrible and doesn't blend well with the forum layout.

I also need to know how I can arrange the member's user title to where it will be above the avatar... like it should be.

The application displays correctly as we have written it and you may alter it to your liking but that is up to you to do. The template you wish to edit is showphoto tempate and as long as you have set the tmpl files in the templates vb3enhanced directory to 666 they should be writable.

This code doesn't work with Firefox too well... I can edit the templates and see changes in IE, but FF is not displaying properly and edits do not effect it.

There is no reference to avatars that I can see in showphoto.tmpl

I still don't understand why you would design the title to go underneath the avatar instead of directly beneath the user name. Doesn't make sense, but neither does a lot of other things with this program.

No actually our comments layout has been designed like that for 4 yrs now probally before vb3 came out

huh? You might wanna take a look at several older forums that haven't updated there versions in a number of years. Not just vB, although vB started longer than 4 years ago. I've been hangin' out in forums for over 10 years... before these designs we have today. I remember when they first started these layouts, and all of them, bar none, that I have ever seen, have the layout design like you have right here in your forum (as it pertains to user name, title, avatar). You guys are definitely in the minority with this part of your design layout, not sure why you would even argue otherwise.

I would not think its a huge thing to change the layout to resemble the vb postbit just a matter of moving a few things.

Exactly the beauty of PHP code is it is not encoded and you may change it to what you want. We do have modification forums if you choose to discuss things like this that fall outside product support.

Along with setting the TMPL files to 666 you may need to change the template directory folders to 777; set all of your index.html to 644.

Along with the showphoto.tmpl and showphoto.php you may need to modify the vb3.php file. Such as myself, I use custom Flash avatars on my forum and custom fields so I'll need to insert the codes to call them properly off of vB.

If you have an example of a postbit layout you wish to have then supply a link or at least a screenshot of it; and what information you'd like to call from vB. We'll then know what needs to be modified.
