Category Display

Hey guys,

This has had me puzzled for awhile.

I've set up Categories and Sub Categories for my PhotoPost gallery. Basically, when I go to upload a photo, I can still select the main Categories, whereby I only want to be able to upload photos to the Sub Categories. I have fiddled around with every setting I can think of but just can't figure it out. If someone could help me that would be great.

In the Edit Categories' "Usergroup Access Permissions*", check the first settings for "View" only; the other settings "Upload", "Post" and "Vote" are left blank. More than likely you've done that, so...

In IE it won't give you that option to upload in a unauthorized category but in Firefox it will, or so it seems; the photos end up in "All Member Galleries" and not in the unauthorized categories. That's the case for me, anyway.

Thanks for the advice ... Yeah I've tried messing around with all the permissions.

That thing about Firefox and IE is bizarre cause I have tested another site that has this implementation working (as in when you go to upload photos the main categories aren't in the list) and it works on both IE and Firefox.

All it's gonna be is some text box somewhere. Just wanted to see if anyone knew the answer.

It also seems that if you're logged in as an Admin you will see all options. When I'm logged into a different Usergroup I don't see the options. I just tested this on both browsers.

Still, the uploads go straight to The Member Galleries and not in the unauthorized categories.

I'm an idiot ... Just tested it then not logged in as admin and everything is fine. Thanks for your help guys ... It was all set up properly to begin with!
