Unhappy All pictures are gone

This is the second time it happens. The site is running and suddenly, "No thumbnail" image appears for every thumbnail. If you try to see the picture, there is no picture (empty square with the red X in the upper left corner).

My las action as admin was 3 weeks ago.

How can I recover the pictures? How can I avoid this to happen in the future?.

Looks to me like you left your upgrade file on your site and someone is playing with you running the upgrade file

You would need to delete the upgrade.php file and restore a backup of the photos table

OK, done.

I've also deleted upgrade.php

How can I make backups?. I had to rename all old pictures...

You can backup the files and database through your hosting control panel usually
