Prevent pic uploads to be on modoration?

Hi

Not sure if the topic is right but my english sometimes sucks

I run a contest every month on my forum, and only the members that belong to a certain usergrup are allowed to upload their pics to a specific category. Now... how can I prevent those pics to go straight to the category?
Meaning.... a user uploads a pic and I want that pic to be on hold till I approve it only when the contest date is done.

If you understood what I mean, please help me out.

In Admin => Edit usergroups set moderation to yes for that usergroup.
