repair help

I have a serious problem for which I need help:

Our database obviously crashed this afternoon. This started the way it only showed "Missing thumbnails" and no more photos.

So I thought to use the Admin options "Check for and create missing thumbnails" and "Rebuild all thumbnails", since then the database is empty. Only the themes are still here, without any photos.

The Photopost-directory "data" still contains all photos.

How could I repair this?

Kindest regards

Wolfgang

Did you recently try to upgrade? Did your host change your server paths?

The only way to get the photos back would be to restore a mysql backup of the photos table then verify the server path in Admin => Global Options and Storage Options.

No upgrade, own server, no path change.

Which table do you mean, which I should restore?
The pp_photos.MYD and pp_photos_MYI ?

Kindest regards for your help!

Wolfgang

Meanwhile I restored the entire backup from yesterday.
Works fine again.

Lost about 30 posts, which is sad. Running a Photo-gallery is a lot of fun and a great cultural documentation here, but also a lot of responsibility for those who offer their time and present photos.

Kind regards

Wolfgang

Okay glad your back up but again something had to change if you ran a scan database and the images could not be found. Restoring the entire backup like you did resolved that.
