Ok I am very confused. When is a comment a rating or a rating a comment when I have ratings turned off.
So to see comments as comments what do I set and to what for this to show as in statisics so I see the correct amount of comments..

I deleted all comments from users to get this to set so In all members comments I see the same as in statisics.
Guess I need to know what and where to set to see the correct comments in All members as in statisics.

Sorry for being such a pain Chuck but it just dont add up how I seee in all my categorys the total like at the time the pic was grabbed as being 15 and the statisics being 15 when how I see it the same should be showing in all members as 15 and not 12.

I can run a scan data base option and then All members shows correct as 15 but my questions is why do I have to run a scan data base option for this to correct the number from 12 to 15.

How do I set my settings to show in All members the same number of comments as in statisics or the total from all categorys when viewing home page.

I am wondering now if I deleted all of the comments for all users when I may have not needed to to get this to sync right. Very confused.

This is what I see.

You say you have say 66 comments in a category yet you can only physically count 45. Now say with the setting that I noted set to no that means 21 comments are hidden cause they are simply empty. A rating is a comment. At one time it was evident you allowed ratings and this is why you are having trouble adding things up. If you set the setting I noted to yes then you would see an empty comment with just a rating and you should be able to count 66

Does that make sense to you yet?

Chuck I am not really sure I understand but think I parcely do. You are saing a rating is same as a comment if I understand you correctly.

Now I dont want members to see ratings and be able to use them so I have
3 ratings I can set in Show Photo Options.
1: Display ratings that have no comments attached.
2: Allow members to rate photos.
3: Display quickratings under photos.
To be able to see all the comments as your 66 Which of these do I set to yes. All are set to No now.
Allow members to rate photos I am sure needs to be No since I dont want members to rate photos.

At one time when I first installed photopost I did allow ratings untill we had problems with members not liking the ratings they would get. I turned it off because of that.
Yesterday I cleaned all comments out of my data base for photopost to see if I could get the comments to sync as I am trying to do but my all members dont sync as in statisics. If its a ratings setting that needs to be turned on Id like to know which one. I dont have any ratings unless they are in myd ata base from the few short weeks I had it on. I will check in phpmyadmin and see if I see ratings anywhere and if so will empty them. I purged all old photos that were 365 days or older so that should took care of when I had used ratings.

If you cleared all comments things should match fine. Your confusing me here but from what you have posted what I said should have been where your confusion was at.

I looked in phpmyadmin and can see no ratings at all with any pictures. All are 0.
I deleted all comments to get this to work as I thought it should and now I am very confused.

With me having only 30 commets in my gallery I can delete those again if necessary to get this to work as I would like it to be.
Can this be done if I remove all commetns and make the correct settings in admin cpanel.
With no ratings showing in phpmyadmin I am very confused how photopost is now seeing them after I removed all the old images that had the ratings when I first installed photopost. Isnt there a way to clear the data base so it will show as I want it to show.

Sorry for being such a dumb skull but it seems so simple but is so confusing to me.

I can send you admin and access to my photopost cpanel or to My phpmyadmin and data base if this would help.

I am not talking about now as I was referring to before when you where getting confused on counts. The reason was you had ratings and had the setting I noted set to no which means it hide comments that are empty. This discussion was essentially rendered mute the minute you deleted all comments.

Yes that was my impression that when I deleted all comments that the comments in all members would automaticly show as those in statisics but they will not.
Only option I have to make them view the same is run Scan Data Base the option "Check here to recalculate photos/posts numbers and check children" and then the comments show as in statistics. When I refresh windows I would assume the comments would be same as in statistics if someone posted a new comment. This is not happening........?

Seems we not connecting with our thoughts so will just use the scan data base object to make comments correct in all members as it is in statistics.
I thought this would been simple to set but I was wrong on this one.

Thanks Chuck for taking the time to help me.

Could this be a thing related to cache not refresing as it should. I still think its a bug with the software or maybe something changed in the 5.31 files that no one else has noticed yet or will not look at this as I have.
