Error Message

Have two major problems:

1. Unable to create/write to
/www/i/imagesbynick/htdocs/gallery/data/693! Check
your data directory permissions before continuing.
This happens when I try to create a category. The
category does get created.

2. All I see is blank thumbnails when opening the site.

Two weeks ago Powweb (ISP) moved my site into a new
platform.

Thank You

Most FTP clients have a "right click" option built in. When you FTP in to your webserver "right click" your digitaldivasdesigns.com/photopost/data folder. There should be an option to use CHMOD, set the value to 777. (When executed, the command can change file system modes of the data directory.)

Some FTP clients may not "right click". There should be an optin in the menus of the ftp program after you hi-light the data folder.

There is a ftp program called SmartFTP it has options to do recursive directories.

You are going to love me! I use FrontPage 2002. I used it with VB3 ok. I have SmartFTP that I use for other stuff but I can't use it for my web space because I have FrontPage extensions installed. So, are there any other ideas!

Last resort, I can turn FrontPage extensions off for a while and then, try to do this. But, I want to do that as a last resort because turning them back on takes three hours.

I never heard of FP extensions stopping FTP commands.

You can log in to your Cpanel / Domain control system and use the "file manager" and change CHMOD values also on your site.

Error Message - Blank Thumbnail

Zachariah, thanks for your input.

LostMama, posted thread on June 11, 2006 @ 9:41, has a similar
thumbnail problem as me. Both our sites where migrated to a new platform before experiencing the problem.

I still have my original directory permission problem. I set everythink to 777 with
no luck.

Can you help us.
Thanks
