| Play video in ecard.php?
I know that movies only play inline within showphoto.php, but I want them to also to play inline within ecard.php. What would I have to change to make it happen?
I know this has been hacked for vBGallery, but can't find anything for PPPro.
[EDIT] Just realized this should be in a different forum, sorry. [/EDIT]

OK. Anyone interested in this can now follow the thread here: http://www.photopost.com/forum/showthread.php?t=125686
BTW... it seems really goofy that this isn't already built in to the script. Sending and receiving an ecard with a movie thumbnail (instead of an actual movie) is pretty amateur and anticlimactic, don't you think?

Ok... My other thread in the MOD forum has had 4 pageviews in nearly 2 weeks, so we're obviously going nowhere with that.
Who do I have to bribe to get movies to play inline in ecards.php? This seems so simple, since it's already been done in showphoto.php. |

Yes I get that, and I'm sick of that attitude here.
Since this script doesn't work as I'd expected, who do I talk to about a refund? I will not be using it.

Hello
Our features are clearly listed on our site. Per the License agreement you agreed to upon purchase and is clearly displayed there are no refunds http://www.photopost.com/phplicense.html
I suggest since you want to modify the script you post in the mod forum requesting that you would be willing to pay someone to assist you in modifying the script.

Chuck... you guys just don't get it do you? There's a lot of competition out there. And when you sell a script you should properly support it. Not just brush off your customers as is so often the case here.
There are a lot of FREE scripts that offer more complete and *friendly* customer support. The difference is that they look at limitations in their script and actually try to make it better. You guys have a different approach. Promise a Cadillac and deliver a Chevette.
The problem here is that it's impossible to really get a sense of what can and can't be done to customize Photopost. The demo is insufficient to let you understand how it works under the hood. This video ecard issue is one of MANY that cannot be tested in your demo.
I'm certainly not against paying for a modification to the script, but after 2 weeks my thread in the mod forum had 4 pageviews (and 2 of those were mine)!!!!!!! It's convenient for you to just brush people off into the mod forum wasteland, but that sucks for anyone you do that to.
I mean, it would be one thing if I was asking for some kind of radical customization. But I'm NOT! Playing movies inline in ecards.php should be standard. The function is already built in to part of the script. Not having it is like selling a Cadillac without a backseat. It still works, but it's just incomplete and sucky.
And the vBGallery guys already have a hack for this, so why shouldn't it be a part of PP Pro too?
Now go ahead and delete this thread. I know you can't handle a bit of constructive criticism from someone who trusted you enough to send you $130.

This thread is not about constructive criticism though. I have simply pointed you to the rules of the modifications forum and explained the license policies all of which are in plain view here. You where fine when I told that it would involve code modification two weeks ago. You got upset cause no one responded to your modification question.
Remember no software will have ever single feature you wish. It would fall upon you to modify the code to achieve what you wish.
