BBCode in title?

Photopost 5.31 question...

I am the only person with upload permissions (admin). So security is not an issue.

I need to display a banner under each individual photo (on showphoto.php).

I would like to do this by inserting BBCode into the TITLE field of each photo (bulkupload.php).

This BBCode inserts a 468x80 iframe banner for me:
[ad]http://www.mydomain.com/banners/rotate-banner.php[/ad]
(I already have it working in vBulletin).

So this is all I need:
====================================
[1] How to make the TITLE field parse BBcode?
[2] How to display the TITLE field on showphoto?

Thank you.

The title field displays on showphoto but it is not parsed for bbcode. You could edit showphoto.php and add this line in bold however why not show ad in one of the extra fields you can setup?

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.

Thank you Chuck! I shall give it a try. The reason I prefer not to use the custom fields is that they're not shown on bulkupload.php... so if I populate the gallery with a few hundred photos, I have to go in to showphoto.php and "edit photo" one-by-one. Total drag. Am I wrong?

Hello Chuck. I tried your suggestion, but it does not work. It just displays the raw code ([ad]http://www.mydomain.com/banners/rotate-banner.php[/ad]).

Some other things I've tried that do not work either:
[1] Regular HTML hyperlink in title (<a href="http://www.yahoo.com">LINK</a>)
[2] BBCode in extra field as you suggested.
[3] HTML in extra field.

None of these things produced satisfactory results. Just shows the raw HTML or BBCode. Do I have to enable or disable something somewhere else?

Thank you.

html is not allowed to be shown and is proper as it is a huge security risk to display html

*Sigh* I know that. That's why I was asking about BBCode! I just tested HTML to see if it would work.

As I clearly stated above, "I am the only person with upload permissions (admin). So security is not an issue."

I believe I've discovered a work-around that will work for me.

But just so you know the proposed solution above does not work.

The solution I gave clearly cause the convert_markups function which works on every other field so I do not know what else to tell you

Now ad is not a normal bbcode in vbulletin that I know so if that specific code needs to use html then thats your issue.
