i think ive seen this done where you can have photopost handle the pics that are displayed inline in threads, is that possible or am i thinking of something else?

We do not replace the attachment capability of the forum. You might have seen a hack but you can use the ubbcode to display images from the gallery in the forum.

how do i use the ubbcode?

In Admin => Show Photo Options you can select which ones to show by setting them to yes.

its actually under ADMIN -> UPLOAD OPTIONS

where is the settings for the ratings?

It is under Admin => Show Photo Options

Show html code to display photos?
Do you want to show the img src html tag for a photo?

Show direct links to photos?
Do you want to display the page link to a photo?

Show UBBCode on Photo page?

Now as far as ratings what do you mean where are the settings for ratings? In Admin => Show Photo Options is this

Allow members to rate photos?

those two are under the 'show photo options'

is found under upload options.

oh maybe i missed that, but i dont think its there. ill look again.

Your missing an upgrade or something as those are what is in there if I look at my Photopost 5.3
