Unable to write changes, permissions on custom1pal.tmpl are not set properly.

Hello

You can FTP to your server and change the permissions on the tmpl files to 666 so that they are writable. This should solve your issue. To chmod a file you can right click the file usually and hit chmod or properties and make the permissions 666 READ WRITE.
