Large images

Hi,

We have a client who would like to run a photo contest, where users submit entry's into photopost.

the catch is that they want users to upload high-res photos (2-3megs) or so, so that they may use them in printed material at some point, but do not want to allow people to view images on the web that big. they need to resize down to a reasonable size.

I believe that I can save the orginal filesize by using the medium trigger, and creating a medium sized photo, but it looks as though there is no option to only display medium photo sizes and not large photo sizes, or have I missed something?

Again I would really like to only display thumbnail and then medium photos on the web, but keep the original large photo upload just on the server for internal usage.

thanks for any advice or guidance you can give!

Hello

You would be correct to assume that yes triggering a medium to resize down and not resizing the large by using large dimensions on the max height width would preserve the original but as far as our program you would still be allowed to see the large image. You can use the popup window to show larges so they dont break the normal display of your photopost site but there is no way within the code natively to not view them.

This looks like something that should be considered for future versions!
