Video files not streaming correctly.

This is kinda weird...

I uploaded a highly uncompressed video in my video gallery and it streamed properly.. the way it should piece by piece.

But if I compress to Indeo or Xvid (only ones ive tried) it says "Connecting" until downloaded the ENTIRE video then starts playing.

Why is it doing this?

Hope you can help Thanks.

Could have something to do with the compression rate. I have been on many video sites in my time and some video's play piece by piece while others play after they are in the buffer.

I just realised Xvid is not a streaming codec. Do you know any good free streaming codecs that are quick to download?
