Index Thumb's and Cat Tables?

Is it possable to have the latest image for the section to appear as the section's index thumb? It would update when a new photo was added. If the section has no photo's yet it would give a generic "no photo's" avatar as the thumb until someone submitted to that section. I know that Coppermine does this.

Also how would I go about putting sub cat's into a table like http://www.facesofwow.com/gallery/index.php?cat=2 does.

That to me looks like a members gallery and our product shows the last uploaded thumbnail on the showmembers script for each user.

Chuck, If you look at http://www.facesofwow.com/gallery/index.php you'll see that's the main cat's and http://www.facesofwow.com/gallery/index.php?cat=2 becomes the sub cat with the tables.

As for the thumb, I'm meaning as say user a uploaded the last pic for cat a.. it would show that thumb then user h comes and uploads to cat a then user h's new pic becomes cat a's new thumbnail.

You can surely post in the mod forum if your choosing to mod your code. In our code catavatars are set by admin not updated automatically.

Where? I just searched all thru admin

You view a photo within a cat and hit the MAKE INDEX THUMB link.

yeah that I know. I thought you ment there was some way to make the newest upload the default. Which is what I am trying to do
