adding an outer table?

I am not sure how best to explain this but here goes anyway...

I would like to know if it is possible (and easy ) to add an outer table that includes my photo post install as well as my header and footer? I'd like it all to sit on a white background table with my web page background below that... ie so the web page background colour doesn't show through between the gallery tables etc.

so it looks somewhat like this ..
http://www.rakscraps.com/photopost/index.php
(hope it is ok to post another site that is not my own as an example)

Is that possible and could a newbie like me attempt it?

thanks

Kate

Basically you would open up a second table at the bottom of your header with a background of white and then close that at the top of your header. If you view the html source of the page you will see what I mean.

top of the footer

If you open a table at the bottom of your header with a background of white and then you close the table in the top of the footer you will get what you want here.

my header looks like this...

Quote:
body>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<table
style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); width: 785px; text-align: left; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"
border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
<tbody>
<tr>
<td><a name="top_home_page"></a><img
style="width: 780px; height: 111px;" alt=""
src="/images/Logo5C.gif"></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td
style="text-align: center; vertical-align: top; height: 40px;"><img
style="width: 100px; height: 40px;" alt=""
src="/images/homeblock2a.gif"><a
href="http://www.pickleberrypop.com/shop"><img
style="border: 0px solid ; width: 92px; height: 40px;" alt=""
src="/images/shopblock.gif"></a><a
href="http://www.pickleberrypop.com/forum/"><img

At the bottom of your header you can add something like this

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
then at top of footer add this

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
