Pics not showing when grouped by member.

i have an issue with my gallery. it makes it hard for users to browse through photos.

i want each section to be grouped by members. so they can click on one pic to see all their pics in that section. but when you click on the pic it says this user has no photos in this section unless they created a photo album. then the photo album of that section shows. BUT if they just upload a pic and put it in that section of the gallery. it wont show unless u find a photo by tha member and click on see this users gallery. then u can see every pic they have ever uploaded. but u should be able to see the pics when you go to the respective gallery. but you can't UNLESS you change the view between tiles, group by member, puzzle etc. thats the only way the pics will populate. even if u change it back to what the view was originally set to when u entered that section it will show. when originally the pics did not show. changing the view made them show.

chuck u have a member account on my site. go to the truxxposure section click on a member. you will see no pics. but change the view to anything else and u will then see the pics show.

but the pics show when i don't have them grouped by member as the default setting. this goes for the default category layout and thumbnail layout.

i knew abou this for a while. but to many members started complaining about how user unfriendly the gallery is. this is agreat photo gallery andi know it isn't as unfriendly as it is on my site.

The members gallery shows the last uploaded picture of the user explicitly. If you have restrictive category settings so that people do not have permission to view specific cats then on members gallery or any cat using group by member then you will have no thumbnail.

i never set any permissions on categories. people can see every pic, every category.

but why will the pic show up if i change the view. if i back out and go back in the thumbnail doesn't show. but if i change the view again between tiles, gallery, puzzle etc it shows?

double check the permission of the cat the photos are in
