How do users upload multimedia files?

Please pardon what might seem a newbie question, but just exactly how do users of my PhotoPost Pro board ---
PhotoPost Pro 5.3
using user-database from vBulletin 2.5.4

just how can they upload multimedia files such as .wav, .mov etc.?

Despite my enabling multimedia in the Admin options, and making sure all the relevant file types are allowed, whenever a user tries uploading a non-pic file the program goes through the uploading process -- but then no such supposedly uploaded non-pic file is shown in the user's gallery or anywhere else.
Pic files upload and display fine, just not non-pic ones.
Many thanks in advance for all assistance.

Hello

I am going to assume by your description of no file appearing that they are attempting to upload a huge file to your site. The big issue here is your not limiting your filesizes and that should always be set a tad lower than your PHP's max upload filesize limit which on a default setup is 2mb. This is why no file is appearing cause PHP itself is dropping the file upload. You would need to edit your php.ini file and raise the max upload file size allowed or ask you host to if you want to upload files larger than 2mb.
