Problems with permissions, login + more

I installed PP yesterday

I am receiving feedback now from my users. It seems there is a problem when using the gallery.

Personally i cant log out of the gallery, and there is no login on on the gallery frontpage.

If i am logged in it wont show that on gallery frontpage. I have to click on a category or a picture to see the PP Usermenu.

It is impossible to Log out while in the Gallery.

When "trying" to check user permissions in the gallery my previous admin login overrules my dummy account acces, thus ignoring my dummy which wont follow me from vb.

On my mac i have acces to admin - not from PP frontpage i have to click on a category or a picture first to get to it.

On my PC i dont have admin acces with the admin account (treats me like a unregistred)

I searched this forum and found a few posts regardin cookie settings.

My Cookie settings in Photopost are:
/
BB
.mypage.com
-------------

And in VB
/
.mypage.com

I cant find a place to add BB in VB.

Users are sometimes treated like unregistred (which i didnt give permission to se pictures)

Any ideas ?

Hello

What is shown and such depends how you have things configured with vb. First off the way you have typed your cookie prefix is incorrect. It is bb not BB. The default cookie prefix for vbulletin is in the config.php file in vbulletin. If you post a url and a test user login I can tell you more accurately what is set incorrectly.

Also check in your config-inc.php of photopost to ensure you have the vblicense number entered where asked and not customer number. This is integral for user login.

You have your cookie path in vbulletin as /forum/ not / so your cookie is not site wide and your domain was blank. I set this to .domain.com as well

I have fixed this so you should be fine and your cookies should be the same cause they where not set as you noted above.

Hi Chuck,
After you logged into my system and fixed my cookies i havent been able to log out from my forum or Gallery.

This is pretty annoying since im currently logged in with a dummy account from my main computer.

Is there a easy way to fix this problem ?

I would suggest you clear your cookies on your home system

I just registered a username and was logged in fine.

Ill try that and will forward that to my users.

Thank you for your prompt response, this alone makes the money spend on Photopost well worth the purchase. (and the software in it self off course)

Hi Chuck,

I had a cooie error yesterday and cookies was reset to "normal" in order to make the vb login work.

However this disrupted the acces to Photopost completely and now i cant even acces photopost with any login.

Can you please me out with this ?

thanks

As noted in previous discussion

Your vb cookie prefix is set in your vb config file. This is normally bb

Your vb license number must be set in the photopost config-inc.php file properly. You can find your license number at the top of the vb config file.

Your vb cookies should be set to this to provide an integrated login

cookie prefix /

cookie domain .domain.com

Your photopost cookies should be set to this

cookie path /

cookie prefix bb

cookie domain .domain.com

If all of the above is set correctly you will not have login issues. In fact I fixed this for you last time and the login was completely integrated.
