How do i allow users to upload photos into their galleries using FTP?

many of my users have to upload a lot of phots at a time for events etc and this currently takes a lot of time.

also, why is it that when i upload pictures to a sub category they also get put into my person folder?

for example, i uploaded a lot of photos into this album, here

but they also appear here

so my personal album becomes cluttered with a load of pictures from an event and not my person pictures.

You would need to create them each an FTP account that only has access to there own specific uploads directory.

You have set in the Admin => Show Gallery Options this option below to yes turn it to no.

Do you want Members Gallery to show all of a users photos?

when you say, FTP account for their download directory, is this the directory with there user id number as the name? for example mine is 423?

i only want to see the users personal pics in there gallery. general pics, for example the event i posted above i only want to see shown in the event gallery.

i've changed that setting and it workeds perfectly now, thanks very much
