Problem installing forum

I'm trying to add simple machine forum to my site but I keep getting these errors Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user: 'joyseek_smf1@localhost' (Using password: YES) in /home/joyseek/public_html/main/pp-inc.php on line 158
I cannot connect to the Members database. [] When I use a defferent method I get this Database not properly setup - unable to read pp_settings table. Contact administrator
When I edit the cookie settings in photopost to SMFCookie10 I can't logout.
Has anyone else had problems like this. need help

Hello

Well I suggest you run install.php and double check all the information your entering. You might want to look at your smf config file. Make sure in the users database section your entering the correct smf database info. If you get a can not connect to the members database it would appear the database info your entering is incorrect.

I cannot connect to the Members database. []

My photo post script works great it's just when I configur the forum part I get all the errors so I change it back.
Do I have to have smf installed first before photo post if so how can I install this forum after if photo post has already been installed.

well you can these steps below to switch the integration but it is still not going to get you past the issue your posting here which is entering incorrect information in the config

1. Edit the settings table of Photopost settings 41,83,171-173 and set to the proper integration type forum mysql table prefix and cookie settings. Edit 165 and set to the name of your SMF cookie name

2. Edit your config-inc.php file of Photopost and enter in user database the proper vbulletin mysql info.

3. In your usergroups table of Photopost delete all entries except Administrators where that one you want to edit it and change the groupid from 5 to 1
