zip upload overnight issue

I had a member reporting a zip upload issue that we never experienced before. Please see the message below:

-----------------------
Couldn't find a bugs and errors forum, sorry... I felt sure there was one... anyway, I uploaded a zip file last night, all went well, and I was processing ten images at a time, all good, then came back to finish them this morning and the 'skip upload and process files' option doesn't take me anywhere other than straight to my gallery... is there any other way to get back to my queued images?? I'd hate to have wasted the space
------------------------

I'd greatly appreciate some input on this.

Thanks!

Came back to finish them?

The zip file thing is not a bulkupload option therefore the bulk options do not work on zip files usually. A user uploads a zip file and then the program extracts the images. This means the zip file is uploaded to the server. If you left this overnight then the server could have been processing timed out from it being to large etc and the file killed.

I would need more info on what you did exactly to investigate.

Chuck,

That was very helpful. As long as we know for sure the file killed if left overnight, that's great to know. So we can just ask the user to re-upload.

Thanks!

It would be interesting to see how he uploaded a file to your server big enough to take all night? Uploads are only allowed up to the max PHP filesize.
