Hi

PP 5.3: Display list of Moderators

I would like to display a list of all moderators for the photo gallery. (Ideally in the navigation bar). If a users clicks on it, he can see the e-mail address or the profile.

Or is there any other method for a user to be able to contact moderators?

How can I do this?

Moderators are listed on your category index if you enable this option in admin to show them. There name link to there photopost profile when clicked.

If your trying to create some external contact list with all this info in one spot it would require you to modify your code and thus you can post in our modifications forums.

Thanks, I found it and enabled it.

But when a user clicks on the moderators name, there seems to be no option to contact by mail.

Did I oversee something?

There is no option to email them you would need to modify your code for that. We do not openly show email address's

mmmh,

but does it make sense to display the moderators for each category, if the user can not contact the moderators?

What is then the benefit of displaying the moderators to the public?

Don't kill the messenger here

I am simply explaing how the software works. Photopost does not have a PM system or such. The software is simply showing the mods name and a link to there profile.

Would it be possible to show the e-mail address within the profile in form of

myname at mydomain.com

so that spamspiders can not catch it?

I know this would require a modification, but it is obvious that this feature is necessary and I have sometimes the feeling the programming work is done always from the perspective of a vbulletin user and not for standalone installations, as it should be

Or Photopost gives me for the normal PP price also a vbulletin licence

There are tons of suggests users post and while we add some we do not add all of them as lists are prioritized and we add what we feel will benefit the masses. You may post suggestions on changes you want in the suggestions forum. Tons of user suggestions have been added to the software over the years.

You can post any mod requests for something that falls outside the support of the software in our mod forums.
