yes to my knowledge thats something I scrounged off the internet. It goes in an htaccess file. If you put it in your webroot it should protect no php script from being linked on an external site.

I found these two resources, but I don't know enough to change them to fit my site:

http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?p=609945
http://forums.invisionpower.com/lofiversio...hp/t191265.html

Do you or anybody else understand them any better than me? I tried both and variations of them, but couldn't get them to work.

Doesn't seem to work. Wouldn't it need a path to the watermark? If it was in the data would I just put ../ infront of it and if it was in a directory right above the webroot would it be ../public_html/PP_install/watermark\.php

Is it possible to modify the watermark.php itself so it prevents itself from being called outside of my domain? If it's a lot of code writing, I would be willing to pay money for such a money that could prevent hotlinking to images being called through the watermark.php file while still allowing guests to view images.
