How do I use the random photo object on my forum home page?

I'd like to use the Random Photo object on my home page template... not the photopost home page, but my FORUM home page.

How would I go about doing that?

More specifically, I'd like to be able to access the display_gallery function from my main page... but I run into errors whenever I try to use it.

Is there a way to create a plugin in the vBulletin system that properly makes use of the display_gallery function?
