BTW, if you do manage to make it in, the photos appear not to be there. That's only because I have not adjusted the paths in Admin. They are there :-)

You would need to give me an example link of something you think does not show right

I am not seeing any issue with Photopost just browsing around.

So as I asked if you post a new photo and comment whatever does text appear right?

Are you looking at the current site: solborg.fhs.no, or the new one which is hosted at TextDrive? To see the new site, you would have to edit your hosts file as I indicated earlier.

I don't have any issues with PhotoPost in terms of adding new photos or text. The issue I have is with moving over the site from a web host that runs under iso-8859-1 to a host that runs UTF-8.

If you are looking at the new site (same database as the old site) you will clearly see broken characters. How you see it depends on the browser you use. In Safari its a big question mark, in Firefox a small question mark that is a little harder to see.

Sorry if its not clear....

I can not say what site I am looking at but it appears fine to me so it is most likely the old one.

I will reserve comment until such time as I can see the site as it would be sure speculation.

OK, I just changed all the paths in the new site and the photo uploads correctly. The good news is that the Norwegian text I added to the description field displays correctly.

I guess this means that I just have to find a way to convert the database from iso-8859-1 to UTF-8. Any idea how to do that? Tried doing it with the dump in the text editor, did not work.
