| Editing a integrated style
if you look to www.rchobbies.ca/gallery
I've integrated the vb3 style. The header is exactly what my forum shows
but once you get into the vb body the category needs some adjustments.
I've looked at all the applicable vb styles in my admincp. I can't find anywhere that I can adjust or edit what is displayed.
Also the footer has a "logout" option that links to gallery. Where would I find the code to edit it so it will point to vb's login script?
Thanks

Page looks fine to me
Now if you have a non standard link in the footer just edit the footer and make the link full url to the forum script and that should do it

yeah I guess it looks ok
I'm not happy with the navbars where the links to the gallery admin panel are or where the welcome to my photogallery are.
I'm hoping I can clear that up. Also for some reason in the category description there is a faint boarder around the upper part of the caption.
Are you seeing this? if not what browser are you using? could be a IE thing.
I've looked through most of the templates and see nothing.
I had a similar situation when I installed the cmps onto the forum, but it ended up being link issues. I have resolved the links from the forum side.
Are they stored anywhere on the gallery side?

well we show our links in our menubar.
Photopost will display per your css in vb so if you have a slight boreder around a class that is used your going to see a faint border. Check your vb alt1 or alt2 class for this

see this is what confuses me about photopost.. somewhere there has to be something about gallery links in the gallery folder. The logout on the bottom of the screen goes to www.rchobbies.ca/gallery. Why would this be in the footer if I'm using vb styles. The vb style has www.rchobbies.ca/forum/login I can't even find where this is being overwritten?
My biggest problem with the style is the search box. It should be sitting away from the category header like the one on www.viperalley.com
They actually have the exact same colours as I do (choose viper red)
I'll go through the css as suggested to see if I can find a border reference.
thanks.

You can not compare the two sites and expect things to be the same. Your using a completely different header code than viperalley.
If you have a login/logout link in the footer of your page it does not come from Photopost as I have stated. You need to go to your vb footer and correct the relative link in that template to a full url to the file.
This is right in the footer of your page Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
Thus edit your footer template in vb and make this a full url. A default vb install does not have a log prompt in the footer at all. This is a custom stylesheet problem

perhaps I'm not clearly articulating my problems.
I've got 3 seperate things I would like some help on.
1. The part where the search is in the gallery body. (and this is where the reference to viperalley comes in.) I would like the search and little welcome text to be seperate. I don't have the knowledge to know where to look in my vb styles. I suspect it has something to do with how the categories are displayed but I'm really dont know how.
2. The bottom logout link. I am running the forum, cmps and gallery. on the gallery is links to the gallery logout process. The footer style code in vb is correct and works on the cmps and forum as it links to the forum logout system. Since I haven't found where the gallery has added any code to my styles and templates I just assume its on the gallery side somewhere.
3. The boarder problem with the description in the category. I am following your suggestion early and looking to see what boarders are in the alt1 and alt2 sections. I think I found why it is doing it I'm just looking to see what the implications are in changing it.
I know your not skin developers but I'm learning as I go and any help is greatly appreciated. I thank you for your patience so far.

I have already answered numbers 2 and 3. You would need to do as suggested as I don't think I can be any clearer than I have been here. My answers in this regard have been very direct and clear on what you would need to do concerning your issues with that vbulletin custom stylesheet.
As far as number 1 viperalley is not modified at all here http://www.viperalley.com/gallery/index.php
The welcome and search box are in the same default template indexhead.tmpl
You can modify your photopost to suit your needs and we do have modifications forums should you decide to post there on things outside product support like code modification.

Ok #3 has been resolved. It was some extra css which I removed from the alt1 and alt2 the boarders are gone. Thanks. Not sure exactly what it did to begin with but it has not changed anything that I can tell.

I didn't say that it was modified. I'm just not sure where to look to see why the category and this other part are colliding with each other. I'm sure it has something to do with a category style
could it be something to do with the indexhead.tmpl refering to it as a menubar and the style in vb referring to that as a navbar?
to reference viperalley again you notice its not showing as a navbar but some type of field above the navbar.? Just throwing out ideas. I'm not sure extactly what I'm looking at

re #1 it is throwing up "tcat" style thinking its a top category when really its not it is more of a bottom type category (for background colour) with alt1 text. I'm not sure though where to send the indexhead.tmpl looking?
I was able to remove the category style but can't figure out how to put a regular style colour behind it.

Your really gonna have to take a screen shot of what your talking about cause your jumping all around the page I have no idea where your talking about now. You where talking about the welcome message and search box now your jumping to the category bar.
I will tell you this your category index on Photopost looks exactly like it is suppose to and your category index looks the same as viperalley.

Good idea. Here it is. Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
is the indexheader. When I was trying to effect change by adding other templates from vb i put in navbar (you can put anything in really) and it removed the background and left it blank from #1 (see picture) I just cant figure out how to have it put a regular burgandy background in there.
Hope this helps.

Are all your trying to say is you want to hack those columns to colors which would not be standard. Well replace the style calls from {$Style['menubar']} to whatever new class your trying to change them to.

Ok.
Thanks for your help on this. These little eye candy items consume me.
I really do appreciate the awesome CS...I know I was a pain on this one.
I'm slowly grasping this...and definately am not looking forward to adding another style down the road.
