| MP4 in Video Gallery
I have been trying to get MP4 files to run in my gallery, but when they are posted to the gallery, they show the "multimedia" logo instead of the QuickTime logo. I have the .mp4 extension setup for quicktime in the showphoto.php file, but still no luck. When I click on the file to play it, the file page opens, but the "multimedia" icon disappears and only the title of the file in the blue box is showing. Then nothing happens.
I have quicktime (locally) setup for mp4 and I get an error that follows:
Done, but with errors on page.
Line: 128
Char: 5
Error: 'haveQT' is undefined
Code: 0
URL: http://www.stickypod.com/videos/show...o/1396/cat/518
and
Line: 141
Char: 31
Error: Expected ')'
Code: 0
URL: http://www.stickypod.com/videos/show...o/1396/cat/518
I have quicktime setup for mp4 in the mime types, but still no luck. If I switch the .mp4 string in showphoto for the windows media player, the WMP shows up but obviously nothing works since WMP does not play mp4. Currently only quicktime is setup for this type of file, but the video gallery seems to be having trouble figuring that out.
My gallery is at: www.stickypod.com/videos/index.php
C'mon Chuck! I'm pulling for you on this one.

Check your file edit as it appears you have edited something incorrectly
If you edit showphoto to just add the extention you should be fine but take note your player needs to have the correct codecs installed. To my knowledge it would be windows media player that plays them but you will need to read elsewhere about that. Code: Content visible to verified customers only.

| Local setup is good
I setup my local quicktime to play the mp4, but still no good. Currently, only QuickTime will play an MP4. I already have the string you posted for the QT template, but still nothing.
What are the errors I'm getting? I don't get this with other file extensions. Which really does not make any sense. Is there a mysql database link that I'm missing?
If I download the file to my computer, it plays fine. But I cannot download it from the video gallery. I think this is a photopost error.
Just FYI, I have tried to run these files on 2 different computers and I get the exact same results.

Remember this is not a photopost error. You are modifying your file and this is your error.
If you use a stock Photopost file it will offer the file as a download link and I am sure this would work fine.

| That's not true
The file was never updated when I first tried to run them. They all failed and all I received was the blue title bar, but no icon or ability to download. These file types just will not run but they do run when I download them thru an FTP connection, not thru the gallery.
You still have not addressed the javascript errors in the first post. You have my video gallery address, try it for yourself. What happens?
I have also added the .flv extension to the showphoto file and it will not bring up the Flash icon. It also will not run the file. My assumption is these variables are defined somewhere else.
I still think these are photopost issues. You had the basic file extensions setup when I bought it, but that's all it will play. The additional file extensions must be defined elsewhere in the program.

If you place an unmodified showphoto.php file on your server sure I will look at how the download link operates. I just can not respond about your modification to the file.
However you must realize the minute you click the download link for the file you are opening a new window which is outside of the Photopost scripts and not really an error with our code and would be an error in the browser specifically probally do to with codecs needing to be loaded in your browser.
There are bound to be tons of issues when new video formats come out
By the way yes the image types that are loaded are defined in the program. If your file is not one of the normal format it will simply load the multimedia gif image and is not indicative of any problem in the program.

I can not say other than to replace the original unmodified files on the server. You can try turning off spider urls but that should not make a difference. http://www.reeftalk.com/gallery/show...1/limit/recent
Mine works with spider url's no problem. Your issue comes from your modifications.
Now couple things I need to note here so we understand the issue. I can not comment in a support manner on your custom changes but clearly the code works with the default Photopost files so there is no issue with a user uploading an mp4 and being able to download it. Hense the issue has to do with your changes to the files.
Next you have removed the copyright from your photopost program without purchasing a brand free option for your license. This is a violation of your photopost license and must be corrected. http://www.photopost.com/phplicense.html |

| Reuploaded, can only download
I reuploaded the original files, I can download only now. At least that's something. They will not play in the embeded window.
Where are the file types defined?
Also, some the videos are still giving me the javascript error like the ones in my original post. Any ideas?

Good so unmodified files work as I posted above.
As far as a java error you would need to post what that is but I am unaware of any java assosiated with video's within our program at all.
However for me to discuss this issue any further and for you to continue to get product support you need to fix the license violation I noted in my last post.

| Errors listed in 1st post
The errors I'm receiving refer to the java scripts in the embed-qt.tmpl. At least that's one of them. I have already posted these errors. They are in the very first post.

I can not offer you any other support until you are in compliance with your license.
You have twice now skipped over the part about being in violation of your license by removing the program's copyright.
