Additional Usergroup Permissions

hey there...

software im running:
VB 3.5.1
PP 5.21

ok... i have a photogrpahy forum and we have a separate private section on the forum side for artistic nudes etc so that the general public cant view them without requesting permission.

ive created an additional usergroup in VB that i assign to members wanting access, this additional group (Registered Users Plus) allows them to see the private section etc while still remaining under the main Registered Users usergroup

ok.. now on to Photopost....

I also created a separate category that will be restricted to users that are under that Registered Users Plus additional category but for some reason the permissions are not carrying over to the Photopost side.

I've checked the permissions to that private section in PP and admins, moderators and registered users plus are listed and checked but only the admin and mods can see it.

any idea as to what i can do to get PP to recognize that additional usergroup properly...

Chuck, i can send over some login info to you as well if youd like to go in and take a peek at the settings... thanks

If you applied the permissions to a parent category have you checked the checkbox to apply to all children.

You verified you set permissions accordingly in the category editor and in the usergroups editor you did import this new group right and set permissions?

Please post a url

this is how i have user permissions setup in VB. the Registered Users Plus gives members access to the separate private section on the forum.
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.

here are the stock Registered Users permissions in PhotoPost (PP uses a separate DB)
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.

here are the permissions i have set for the Registered Users Plus usergroup
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.

here is how i have the categories set up. right now only members in the super moderators and admin sections can view the SUBSCRIPTION ONLYsection... Registered Users Plus can not
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.

here is how i have the permissions set on both the "Subscription Only" and "The Human Form" categories
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.

I hope this helps a bit... maybe you can see something i am missing.

From what I am seeing it should work fine as we do a multiple pass on the usergroups table to grab permissions and assign the best case. Try a test of just making the subscription throw the users into the subscription group do not make them a multi group and see what happens

Are you running Photopost 5.3 ?

My first suggestion would make sure your using the latest code and unmodified files.
