Edit photo option

Our members can upload images to their albums in the Members Gallery; they can also change or delete their images at will and that’s fine.

All the other categories in the Gallery members are not permitted to delete their contributions; we have selected this option in the admin cp. (Allow users to delete their own images? No)
We are running Competitions/ Contests and we don’t wont members deleting their entries and adding new images (Cheating).

As I said we have taken away the option for them to delete the own images.
Our problem is. is that the member’s images all have an “edit photo” option and if they click on that they can browse for a new image and replace the old, basically deleting.

Is there a simple way of removing that option from members i.e. browsing/ deleting apart from in the members Galler?

I think you actually have to go into User Groups too and change the setting. You might try that.

You are a star. I looked ever where for that option and was unable to find it. At one point I had even looked in the user groups section but obviously I must have missed it.
