Cookie error, random?

I can log in to vbulletin, and subsequently into photopost however, sometimes (random) when I click the admin link, it will say please log-in, in doing so it will kick me out of vbulletin, this is totally random error and I need to clear my vbulletin password cookie to log in again, both cookie prefix etc are set the same on both boards, is there a way to simply put all the admin stuff under the admincp in vbulletin it would save a load of time

The admin panel of Photopost is only usuable under Photopost

Now as to cookies make sure the cookie prefix cookie path and cookie domain are all the same as VB3

Also make sure in your config-inc.php file that $vblicense has the correct vbulletin license entered.

If you set these 4 things correctly you will never have cookie problems.

You installed PhotoPost for me on Tuesday. I saw this post and changed the cookie path to that reflected in the phpBB forum. Now I cannot log in to PhotoPost, but I can log in to phpBB. Since I can't get to the admin panel, how do I change it back?

You should not have had to change anything. Your cookies where perfectly aligned.

You can issue a query in phpmyadmin database viewer to change it back

UPDATE pp_settings SET setting='SOMESETTING' WHERE id=173

Chuck,

Thanks for your response. I don't know anything about mysql. I opened phpmyadmin, and on the left selected the photopost db, then also on the left clicked on pp_settings. This opened a page that has a dialog box titled
"Run SQL query..."

In this box is a statement that reads:

SELECT * FROM `pp_settings` WHERE 1

Do I replace that with the UPDATE query that you sent me, then click go?

Thanks,

Ernie

OKay I fixed it for you. You need to stop using that PHP cookie thing. You keep setting your cookie path to this

/forum

THAT IS INCORRECT

To make a cookie read site wide it needs to be simply this

Hob

Your cookies look fine and check your vb license in the config file of Photopost and make sure it matches your vbulletin's license number
