Post To Gallery From a Windows Application

Hello,

Is it possible to post to photopost from an external application?

I'd assume because of the authentication to prevent script abuse, it is not.

If that's the case, does anyone have any suggestions as to how I might post to photopost from an external application?

Or, if it's easier to think about / explain, how i'd post to www.example.com/gallery/ from, say an html form i'm running on my local system?

Thanks a bunch!
Desmond.

To post a Photo to PhotoPost a user must use our uploadphoto.php page and have upload permission. There is no way to use external apps or post from your windows machine.

What about using a redirect script which accepts the external post data, and then turns around and posts to the uploadphoto.php script?

What we're wanting to do is this:
1. we have a piece of software that allows a user to create a photo compilation (export to jpeg).
2. The user would select 'publish to online gallery', and enter their photopost username/password
3. The program would submit the photo to the web.

While this isn't a feature that photopost supports 'out of the box', and while there are definite security concerns to take into account, I'd apprecate any/all input for this. Do you (chuck) or any one else have any comments / suggestions / etc?

Thanks!
Desmond.
