well the photos block on our index are as stated in admin Index and Layout Options. Three separate ones Latest Uploads Random and Most Popular.
As far as the photo block you can put on the forum. You can set in that inc_features.php which case you want to use.

there are only these choices:
random, most_view, latest
how can we make it so that it chooses only photos we want to be displayed as featured?
Like a set of photos from 1 gallery/category? (in my case, it would be called Featured photos category, with several albums under it)
And does featured photos pull from user galleries?

You would need to alter the file and its queries to suit your needs.

Chuck, as nice as it is that you respond, your response should be a little more in offering ways to help, by providing example code or point to a place where such alteration has already been done. These one line responses are getting irritating.
and you still didn't naswer my question:
Does it pull from user galleries/albums or do we need to alter the code to do that?
ARe these features that we should be asking for in future versions of Photopost?

Okay well the block pulls photos only from categories not member galleries or albums and only the 3 cases shown.
I would suggest you post a thread in the PhotoPost Pro Modifications Discussion Forum and see if anyone wants to help you hack this up if you are trying to alter your files.
This forum is HOW DO I operate the program as in how do I work a feature etc. Since I had priorly pointed out that you would need to hack your files to achieve what you want I did not add anything more to the discussion here.
Here is our companies policy on file modifications as an FYI. http://www.photopost.com/forum/showthread.php?t=121154 |

Hello I think I need to clarify this issue some.
Support means we support our code as it is written. We have provided you top notch support answering any post that has to do with a support issue in a fast friendly manner.
Your issue has to do with not being able to get someone to assist you in hacking the code to make it work how you want it to. This has no reflection our our company at all. I will link you to the announcement in the mod forum which states the rules and policies concerning code modification since you seem to have some confusion on what you feel our responsibilities are. http://www.photopost.com/forum/showthread.php?t=121154 |
