Exclamation How do i delete photos in the upload folder? urgent.

Once I uploaded the file, I've the bulk upload screen instead, with old pics I already uploaded long time before. See :
http://julliennicolas.free.fr/Hongfire/screencap2.png
there are other files I uploaded before (they already are in my gallery).

Even I added those photos to gallery and deleted them then go back to check the upload folder they are still there.

Is there a way to make an option in the upload folder page to delete pictures?

Please this is very important for my gallery. otherwise memebers all just end up with duplicated pictures in their upload folder and use alot space.

Is this a windows server?

I would suggest you check your uploads directory permissions and ensure they are READ WRITE EXECUTE. You might want to get with your host on this.

We clearly delete all files in the uploads directory of the user after processing via an unlink command

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
It would appear if your saying your uploads directory still has these files your host has some permissions architecture that is not allowing the deletion of the uploaded file.

Thanks for the reply chunk. I've jsut checked all upload directory premissions are 777 this is a linux server. Maybe it has something to do because My server is runing rsync and not NFS? it has 2 webservers and it rsync each other every 30secs atm.

Could very well be maybe they are not being unlinked because mid script process the uploads directory switches. Quite plausible.

So maybe I can't fix this issue until I change to NFS system. Until then do you think i should turn off the gallery every few days and delete everything in the upload folder? just to clear the pictures that got stuck in the upload folders?

Because now I go into my upload page I still see those pictures. And even I select upload then delete them and go back to upload folder they are still there..

I would just clear your uploads directories on both servers. Try setting up a task to say clear the uploads directories on both servers say every 10 minutes and see how that works for you.

You should see issues with files uploaded not being on the one server as well unless your rsync is working pretty regularly cause we write the new file to the data directory but what happens when you switch servers and the other data directory does not have the file?

It seems working fine for uplaoded pictures. Both servers grabs the files fine. They might not show up instantly but will show up in about 1min or so on both servers. the rsync is working pretty regularly.

I never like the rsync idea but I guess I will have to deal with it until my server guy reload both servers into NFS.

Thanks for the suggestion I might do that. I am waiting for the server guy to check the problem out.

Thanks again chuck. You always save my day. or I would be still stucking there trying to figure out what's going on.
