Remove # of Comments from Index
 

I'm running version 5.3. I'm looking to remove the # of Comments Field from the index page (Where it shows how many comments for each category)

The only true way to remove it would be to turn off commenting. You can elect to not show the last comment link but it still shows the number.

Other than shutting off the commenting you would need to modify your categories template and remove the html for commenting.
