Show Most Recent Additions on Index page?

I have the above option turned on but when I go to the index as a user or when am not logged on I only see one picture yet when I go into a category it shows me 12 recent pictures . Where do the most recent pictures that show up in the index come from ? Should all the recent images not show on the index ? Thanks

Also when I am logged in as admin I see 12 recent photos on the index but they are from someones private album . Is that how it should work ? Thanks Again .

Hello The recent images will show the user only images that they have permission to see. If you have it set to show say the last 4 images and they only have permission to see 1 then only 1 will show in that block.

This would be the way this feature is suppose to operate.
