The Time...

From the admin in PhotoPost in the Global Options there is a section GMT Offset to offset the server time... I think. It also appears to only work if VB is installed? How would I adjust the time +16 hours?
Any help will be great.

This is simply for VB

Now let's explain how VB time works. VB just thinks everyone is in GMT since it is manufactured in England. Anyway you set in VB your time offset from GMT. Thus in our program which server time is what you need to do is this

In that option you place the time to GMT backwards. So say I have a server that is -7 hours USA mountain time so I would place a positive 7 in there to adjust Photopost time to GMT and thus the VB offsets work right.

You should not have to adjust anything 16 hours since I do not beleive there is any timezone with that high a value I beleive it stops at 15 hours.

If your say in Peking China which is GMT +10 you would place a -10 in that setting

I am in Tokyo, Japan which is +9. After entering a +9 in the GMT Offset it did have any changes. It is now 1 Jan here... Happy New Year.
Just to double check, I do not have VB installed, only PhotoPost, so this adjustment should work, right?

No if you not using vb you set this to 0. Your user offset if from server time where ever your server exists and when a user registers they are shown the time and set there user offset.

Vb is the only program that sets things from GMT which is why we have this switch

Thanks for making this clear about VB.
From the front side "edit my profile" there is a section "Time Zone offset." When I try to change this number from 0 the changes do not take effect. When I go back to edit my profile again, I noticed the Time Zone offset is also back to zero.
Any suggestions?
