Categories only for Moderators?

Hi to all

I'm very new to Photophost, so sorry if this question is very old or already answered. I searched the forums (lot of posts!) but I can't find the answer to what I want, or maybe that is not possible. I did found some posts that deal with this matter (categories) but no one that resolves exactly my "problem"

I wanted to use one categorie only for the Moderators to upload pictures, noone else. So I created a new category, edited it and checked out all boxes on view, upload and post sections, and only left checked permissions for the Moderators. But when log in with a normal restricted Registered User and try to upload something I can still see the Moderator category from the drop-down box on the upload page, and can choose it and upload pictures to the Moderator category, that was supposed to be restricted, as I checked out all permisions from that category. I thought it was a 'User' settings problem, but in 'Edit Usergroup' the normal Registered User only has 'yes' on 'allow uploads' and 'allow albums'. I'm very confused about this.

Is there any way to get what I want? I want that when I set up a category only for Moderators, or Administrator or some special category, I want that only the members of that category can choose it from the drop-down box on upload pictures, and never post pictures.

If the only people say who can view upload post etc to this category are say moderators or admins then they will be the only ones who can upload to it. Make sure this registered user you are logging in with does not have any secondary usergroup settings.

Ok, that's right, if I check on the 'view' section that only Mods can view a category, then the normal users can't see it. But what I really wanted (Maybe I explained myself wrong) is allow the normal uses to VIEW that category, but not UPLOAD. I want everyone able to see it but only the Mods to upload on that category. However this seems not working ok, because if I check 'view' for the registered users they also can upload. I thought that you can do something like check view but uncheck upload, but unfortunately this is not working or at least I don't know how to do it.

Try making sure to redownload the build and upload all files except config files. Maybe your using the initial release which had a small issue with upload permissions being set to view permissions not upload.
