Images In only ONE category I have 2 categories, let call them: Ford Trucks AKA cat 1 Chevy Trucks AKA cat 2 When i move images from cat 1 into cat 2, they still exist in cat 1. Any ideas? I just moved all of member chevytom's images to cat 2. When i go into cat 1 and click on the letter "c" to see members in cat 1 that start with "c", chevytom is still in there. How do i keep them separate? FYI: I am a license holder, just waiting for you to update my email on file in the member's area. I already updated it on the forums. Thanks! |
well you have a link to your gallery so I can see how you have it set up |
Ahh sorry about that. Its http://gallery.trailvoy.com (Formally gallery.tbecentral.com) And so that there is no confusion again, I have the unbranded version. :) So far I have move over one user to the 2006 Trailblazer SS Gallery but he is still in the first category 2002 - 2006 TrailVoy Gallery too |
easy you renamed your members gallery to a category name. In your a showgallery options in admin set this to NO Do you want Members Gallery to show all of a users photos? |
 I want the user to either upload thier image to cat 1 or cat 2 and not be found in cat 1 if they uplaoded them to cat 2. I'll try what you said and I'll see what happens. |
Ok, that has it working the way I want BUT now I have an integration issue. Before I decided to organized the photos better by adding additional categories, i add the following to the postbit template of my forum: Quote:
Or can I set up the categories differently, perhaps move all the images into another new section, then move just the ones that i want into 2nd new section and leave the members galleries? Thanks |
You would need to make the one cat a cat and move the images. Rename the members gallery back to the members gallery and reset the setting I meantioned to yes |
OK, i think that might work. I guess I can remove the member gallery from the gallery index by adjusting the viewing permissions. No sense to have it showing when the same images are in the other categories. But leaving it active will allow my posbit link to work. Thanks, |
The only thing that I need to do is prevent the Members Galleries category from showing on the gallery index. I tried the viewing permissions, but that cuts off my postbit link. Template edit? |
If you restrict viewing of the members gallery your link to it is not going to work For that link to work the members gallery has to be shown and unrestricted |
